NFP College Scholarship Contest

NFP

High school seniors in the class of 2009 who want to pursue a college education are eligible to apply for the Nebraskans for Peace College Scholarship Essay Contest. In last year’s inaugural competition, high school senior Graham Thurber won a $500 scholarship in 2008 to the college of his choice.

This year, the contest is organized in the three congressional districts with three $500 scholarships and six $100 scholarships awarded to the applicants who submit a winning essay articulating concerns and proposing solutions of NFP’s top priority issues. For details on how to apply, email cawindrum@yahoo.com.

Seed money has been provided for this scholarship fund, but NFP members and friends are encouraged to contribute to ensure the continuation of this program for the future. Contact Loyal Park at the Nebraska Peace Foundation, 402-489-6662 or via email at lp94238@windstream.net to contribute.
